‘Chase Park Music Festival is returning ! Organised by our clients in partnership with a number of community organisations, the event will take place in Chase Park, Whickham on Saturday the 2nd of July 2011 from 12.00 p.m. till 9.00 p.m.
The clients of Chase Park Rehabilitation Centre came up with the idea of organising a festival as a fun and innovative event to integrate within their rehabilitation programmes. The event has been developed and organised with the assistance of our clients and in partnership with our friends at the Percy Hedley Foundation http://www.percyhedley.org.uk/. The event is kindly sponsored by Irwin Mitchell Law Firm. Irwin Mitchell specialises in helping and providing legal support to those who have suffered serious injuries. We’re all working to ensure the event can be fully inclusive and enjoyed by all the community. We’ve invited a mix of regional bands and sessions that will suit most tastes and generations at some point, ranging from indie and classical to dance and rock.’
Local artists such as The Lake Poets, The Soviets, Sky Lark Song, Mausi, Jamiliah, Toni Marriee and Hattie Murdoch have signed up for slots. The festival will be an excellent way of bringing the community together in a fun environment and introducing us all to a range of new experiences and genres. It’ll be a real family affair with food stalls, a beer tent, entertainment, a VIP area and lots more besides.
