Chase Park Life - Music Festival
The‘ChaseParkLife’Music Festival will be our first community music festival! Organised by our clients in partnership with a number of community organisations, the event will take place in Chase Park, Whickham on Saturday the 10th of July 2010 from 12.00 p.m. till 9.00 p.m.
The clients of Chase Park Rehabilitation Centre came up with the idea of organising a festival as a fun and innovative event to integrate within their rehabilitation programmes. The event has been developed and organised with the assistance of our clients in Chase Park Rehabilitation Centre and partner organisations such as Neural Pathways, the Percy Hedley Foundation, the MS Society, Headway, Gateshead Older People’s Assembly, the North East Motor Neurone Trust, the Child Brain Injury Trust and Partners in Specialist Care.
We’re all working to ensure the event can be fully inclusive and enjoyed by all the community. We’ve invited a mix of regional bands and sessions that will suit most tastes and generations at some point, ranging from indie and classical to hip hop, dance and rock.’
Local artists such as MistaBreeze and The Villeins have signed up for a slot. The festival will be an excellent way of bringing the community together in a fun environment and introducing us all to a range of new experiences and genres. It’ll be a real family affair with food stalls, a beer tent, entertainment, a VIP area and lots more besides.
